UNSTOPPABLE PANNA TALENT IN SINGAPORE?

On June 11 2017, Shaun won the Panna Championship in Singapore that was organised by Street Festival.


Shaun was one of the favorites to win the title as he had previously won 3 other Panna competition in a row coming into this competition. By winning, he would have won 4 consecutive competition held in asia which is an astonishing accomplishment.


He has previously won: 

  • Singapore Ole King Panna Champion 2016

  • Keep It Street Panna Champion 2016 (Malaysia)

  • Street Content Panna Champion  2016

  • Keep It Street Panna Champion 2017 (Participants from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand)


Shaun begin playing Panna about 2 years ago and there were many challenges faced by the young local talent who strive hard for the sport. However, the young talent took up the initiative to grow the sport and nurture the younger players in the community by organising training sessions and bringing the community together to share knowledge and improve together.  Shaun frequently travels overseas to meet up with other panna players abroad and shares the experience he gain during his travels with the local community. It was not an easy task to do , yet with his passion and perseverance the community has grown significantly and the level of the players has reached an impressive standard here in Singapore.

Singapore best panna football players Shaun and D'Low was invited to represent Singapore to take part in an international 1vs1 Panna competition on the 20th May in Copenhagen, Denmark! 

  

"We will do our best to represent our nation and the Panna community in Singapore!"

We wish them the very best and that they will do us proud in the most prestigious competition in the world. We hope they will bring back valuable experience and knowledge that they have learned during the course of the trip and share with the rest of the players who hope to represent Singapore in the future.
