Day two, Panna competition! The day is finally here! In order to prepare for this competition I have worked EXTREMELY HARD (Somehow...Even harder than I did before) to get myself ready. I went into this competition with both eyes on the prize, motivated to go for the win. All four members from the expy crew joined the panna competition and everyone did really well. The competition level was pretty high and almost every match, even from the group stage was hard and challenging. We managed to get some great clips and panna from the group stages. Daryl, Syafiq and myself eventually made it through to the group stage and on to the knock out stage.

The knock out stage was really nerve wracking for me. My legs were shaking SO MUCH that I have trouble controlling the ball. Somehow I managed to win all the knock out rounds and make it to the finals of the panna competition. As I mentioned before in a previous blog, I mentioned about the importance of staying warmed up and ready for each match, I learned from my previous mistakes and this time around, I make sure I am all stretched and ready before every single match in the comp. The atmosphere at the event was really amazing with great vibes and lots of people all around. It made me want to win the competition real bad and I make it a day to remember for a long long time.

The opponent I was facing in the finals was pretty good, he manage to win Daryl during the knock out rounds and I have watched him play before, he can be a little physical at time and it was something I have to watch out for. Fortunately just after a few seconds after the match began, I managed to get a panna!!! THE CROWD WENT CRAZY!!! It was a moment that I will never ever forget. I remember my crew mates cheering and I thought to myself " I FINALLY DID IT"! All those hours of training and working hard all alone to the middle of the night was all worth it for this one moment. It was one of the happiest time in my life, no doubt it was the most memorable and important competition to me.

After the event, My crew and I decided to stay one more night at the hostel to rest before going back to Singapore the next day. HAHA just kidding, we decided to stay so we can celebrate and have a good time after Daryl and I manage to win 1st and 2nd place. We went around the busy and hype up area of KL in our casual outfits and slipper HAHA! We had a great time over some drinks and played pool before returning back to the hostel to rest. Overall, The trip was a huge success, Not only did we manage to do well in the competition but the trip itself was great. We had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves during the trip. Can't wait for the next adventure

One message I want to share with you guys. I truly believe that anyone can win the champion tittle and accomplish big things as long as you work hard and give it all you have. I think I am the perfect example, I started out at the bottom but I train really hard and continue to work towards my goal despite initial failures. This is why I have a strong passion towards helping and guiding the younger players. I want them to know that they can all do it too, no one is special, the only difference between 2nd place and 1st place is just that extra hard work. As I continue to work hard and improve myself, I will always keep an eye out for the rest, hoping and finding ways to motivate the next generation to do better and accomplish bigger things.
